Pickleball Court Dimensions


A regulation pickleball court measures 20 feet in width by 44 feet in length, consisting of two symmetrical halves. Each half includes a 10-foot by 15-foot service area and a 20-foot by 7-foot non-volley zone, commonly referred to as the “kitchen.”

Apron Area (Perimeter Playing Space)


The apron refers to the open space extending beyond the baseline and sidelines of the court. While the apron size may vary based on individual court design preferences, the USA Pickleball Rule Book specifies a minimum total playing area of 30 feet by 60 feet, with a recommended space of 34 feet by 64 feet. This extended boundary is essential not only for serving but also for safe player movement and minimizing collision or injury risk.
